Dr. Anjali Nicholson, a trained retina surgeon from the Sankara Nethralaya Eye Institute in Chennai, has received numerous awards for her contribution to Ophthalmology. As ex – Head of Department of the Ophthalmology services at T.N.N.M.C BYL Nair Medical College, she has been instrumental in training and mentoring numerous ophthalmologists in India and around the world. She has received many awards for her work in Retinoblastoma and ROP. Her areas of interest include Pediatric ophthalmology, squint and Neuro-ophthalmology apart from her retina and anterior segment work. She is an avid speaker and orator. In her free time she enjoys teaching and training up coming ophthalmologists and spear heads various teaching programs. She has been and examiner and teacher to various local and national teaching institutes and still serves on the panel of many.
